Raymond Aquino

My name is Raymond Aquino and I am 12 years old. I have two older sisters who don’t live with me anymore because they now live on their own. Right now I go to Blessed Sacrament School. I have gone to this school since I was in preschool. Catholic education means a lot to my family and me because we are very strong in our Catholic beliefs.

The students and teachers are phenomenal at this school. They are very respectful and we all get along so well. Our school is very neat and organized. The students and teachers mean a lot to me. The teachers always make me try to do my best, and my friends always support me in all that I do.

My favorite subject is science because we’re always doing something interesting like projects and lab reports. When I get older, I hope to be a psychiatrist.

I have gotten the Anchor of Hope Scholarship once before. Without the assistance, I would not have been able to continue attending this school. My mom lost her job and my dad and I were in a car accident. He was out if work for three months, but I was able to continue to attend my school. So you can see that this scholarship is very important to my family and to me. Without it, I would not have the privilege of a Catholic education.
