Beautiful Ways of Giving

Will you?

Please consider designating memorial gifts or leaving a gift in your will to a parish, school, or social ministry.

You Can

Make a Memorial Gift...

A memorial gift to a parish, school, or ministry in the Diocese of Providence is a beautiful way to express your sympathy to a grieving family.

You will

Let loved ones know that your faith is important to you.

Your parish has been a place where you have come together with family, friends and the Catholic community for the most important moments in your life. Through the Catholic Church you have met the person of Jesus Christ in times of joy and sorrow, especially in the Sacraments. Consider giving back to your local parish, school or the Diocese of Providence by including them in your estate planning or a memorial gift. Additionally, by asking your loved ones to direct future memorial gifts in this manner you will keep the faith you have been given alive in your Catholic community and help the Church continue to be a part of the lives of others.

Your way

Gifts to the Church can take on several forms and can be in any amount.

  • A designation of memorial gifts included in an obituary
  • A gift of cash
  • A percentage or specified amount included in your will or trust

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38

We Remember

The striking Gothic building that houses the parish of St. Mary on Broadway in Providence has been a city landmark for over 160 years. In memory of its first pastor, Fr. John Quinn, our parish created a legacy endowment for all bequests and memorial gifts it receives. In this way we keep alive the memories of those who have passed and can provide for those who remain and those who have yet to come.

Msgr. Jacques Plante, Pastor

Our mother was a young widow raising four boys. Mirroring the virtues of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and the teachings of our parish, Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly, R.I., our mother taught us to love our faith, family and community. Now, memorial gifts given in her name maintain her spirit and preserve her memory and forever help strengthen others’ faith, families and communities.
